I am just wondering for those of you who have already had babies, did they arrive early, late, or on time relative to your EDD??
I have had one, and there is still some controversy over when I conceived, but based on the due date they gave me during a first trimester ultrasound that placed me around 12 weeks, my little one came about a week and a half early! Just wondering if this one will be early too, and if anyone else has had a pattern in their due dates and actual arrival times!!
My 1st was due 12/7 and came on his own 11/27. My water broke with him. (1999) Although I told my doctors all along that I was going to have him Thanksgiving weekend. And I did. I just knew.
My daughter was due 8/14 and was born 7/24. I was induced 3 weeks early due to preeclampsia. (2010)
My son was due March 11th and he came March 21st after I was induced. My daughter was due April 8th and came April 16th after I was induced. So judging by that pattern I'm expecting this one to come long after Oct 3rd, but I could be surprised who knows!

Forever missing my Mom...
My first 2 came on their own. The first came at 37w 2d, and my second came at 40w 3d. Those last couple weeks were torture, I just "knew" he would come early! Boy was I ever wrong! lol. My last two were induced at 38w 1d, and 37w 6d.
My son was due March 11th and he came March 21st after I was induced. My daughter was due April 8th and came April 16th after I was induced. So judging by that pattern I'm expecting this one to come long after Oct 3rd, but I could be surprised who knows!
My water broke at home at 39w2d with my daughter. I will be anxious to know if this pattern repeats itself because if it does, this baby has the possibility of sharing his/her birthday with their grandma!

First DS I had 6 weeks premature. He was in the NICU a week but only for jaundice. He never needed respiratory therapy or anything. My second DS was born at 38 weeks thanks to hormone injections used to prevent premature labor. The only complication I had with my last DS was the cord was wrapped around his neck and every time I had a contraction his heartrate dropped, I was literally minutes away from being transported to an emergency c-section when he came out. With both boys I had multiple hospital visits where I was given meds to stop contractions. I have scar tissue in my uterus from a horse riding injury and unfortunately my uterus only get so big so the hormones really helped last time. Even at 38 weeks my last DS was only 6.2lbs the doctore just says there is no room for big babies.
My Daughter was due March 27th and was born March 23rd early morning. I had a poll on this topic here before...It looked like there was no pattern with respect to gestation time. Each pregnancy was unique mostly. BUT there did seem to be decline in the totaly labor time with each subsequent pregnancy & delivery.
My first DD I was induced at 41 weeks 1 day. DD2 I was induced at 40 weeks 4 days and with DS I was induced at 40 weeks 2 days.
I'm hoping to not be induced this time and if I am it won't be until after my due date. I am due on DD1 birthday and I refuse to make my kids share their special day if I can help it.

dd2 - 1 day overdue (membranes stripped)
ds3 - 2 days early (on own but broke my water to speed things)
ds4 - 5 days early (induced)

I'm curious about your preeclampsia. So you had it with your first pregnancy, but it didn't reoccur with your 2nd? This is awesome news if I'm understanding!! I had it with my last pregnancy and I'm somewhat anxious about it this time!
My daughter was born on her EDD, my water broke the day before but she decided to wait until her due date to come. Actually according to my chart she was due March 25th, but since it was a leap year it was technically one day before (on the 24th) and she came on the 24th.
#1 was born on her due date so 40w exactly
#2 was born 2wks early 38w exactly
#3 was born 11 days early 38w3d
#4 was born 20min after her due date 40w1d

we have the same due date! It will be interesteing to see how things both turn out for us!
