My sister-in-law comes from a large quarter horse, ranching family. She rode and roped through the entire first part of her pregnancy. But she comes from a pretty tough ranching family where kids start riding and chucking bales of hay when they're little, being on a horse is a way of life. She finally stopped when a horse threw her off - it shook her and my brother up and he asked her to not take the risk anymore. The riding itself was safe, its those other risk factors, freak accidents, that you might want to consider.
