A good friend sent me this article today. She is one of a few outside of our parents that know we are expecting. I told her how I am dreading the gender comments that are inevitable. How if by some slim chance we have a girl we will hear, "oh you finally got your girl" or in the more likely chance we have a 4th boy we will get all the negative/shock/pity/etc type of reactions. We aren't having a 4th baby for the chance of a girl, we're having a 4th child because we want another baby. Another person!
Just thought I'd share because I especially love the part of the mom with 4 boys talking about how they are all individuals. I've often commented to people how neat I think it is to have 3 of once gender with the same parents because then you can really see personalities and not just chalk it up to them being boys.
I have 3 boys right now also. I agree with you, we didn't get pregnant again to try for a girl. Yes I would be happy with a girl, but I would be just as happy with a boy. It would be the same excitement for us either way. Our boys are 12, 9 and 5.
LOL, Jenn! I thought that exactly! You can have 4 and 4. I personally like symmetry, but unless I have twins boys, I will never have it myself.
I want a boy because I just want the experience. I'll be fine with another girl. I'll say "the girls" instead of "the children". Lots of cute dresses and long hair. In the end it doesn't matter much, I guess, but I wonder how likely it is that my daughters will be into the same things I am. I'm like a boy with boobs.
