I ended up with a c-section with Sawyer after an induction- he never fully engaged and I stalled at 5 cm. I am so hoping for a VBAC next time if at all possible, so I really want to be more prepared this time.

Has anyone done Bradley method classes or hypnobirthing or anything they would recommend? I did end up with an epidural because the pit had my contractions back to back and as soon as they broke my water, the pain was insane. I guess I'm looking for ways to successfully cope with the pains of labor.

I have heard good things about both of those ideas. I took classes through "healthy birth choices", basically a Bradley type course on natural child birth.

It never worked out for me though, I ended up with a c-section in the end so I am really really REALLY HOPING for a VBAC myself.

Finding a care provider that is VBAC and natural birth friendly I think will be key for you too.

The natural child birth board on this site is a wonderful forum you could check out, they might have awesome ideas. I personally plan to look into hypnobabies this time.

Also I would highly recommend you hire a doula. It was sooooo worth it for me, even though I didn't get the birth I wanted in the end.

I did a normal birthing class with our first, but I don't thinks we used much of it.

I would love to do hypnobirthing.

I have had 2 of my kids with no pain meds or pit or anything. They came very fast. The docs don't like to let me do much. But laboring in the shower was amazing.
