So since my first three positive tests were only "kinda" dark, I thought I would do another today just to make myself feel better. I went to Walgreens, which is crazy expensive, so I skimped and bought the Walgreens brand blue dye +/- test. Peed on it (like fourth pee of the day, because let's face it, I have to pee a lot), and the plus sign was super faint. Like...depressingly faint. Is this a bad sign? Am I becoming less pregnant? I keep telling myself its because blue dye tests are junk and I shouldn't be bothered by it, but I'm freaking out!!

Somebody take these sticks away from me!

I would go to the doctor and get your beta hcg and progesterone drawn. At 5 weeks and 4 days a pregnancy test should be very dark - that being said there are always rare cases where you will be very pregnant and not get a positive. My friend was one of them. She took a millions tests and they were all negative - and she was definitely pregnant! I'm sorry you are going thru this. I went thru this twice and unfortunately for me it did not end well, but for some women it does. If you don't want to get a blood test then I suggest an frer. Take two tests 2-3 days apart and if there is no difference then I would go see the doctor.

Pretty sure I'm just nuts. Or my urine was really diluted. Didn't drink anything and held it for a couple hours, and tested again. Nice bright plus sign. Seriously, sign me up for a straight jacket. This is going to be a long 35 weeks.

K I'm done now. Feel free to ignore my ranting lol

This is exactly why, with each pregancy, I only test until I get one positive...then I don't test anymore at all. Knowing myself, that would just drive me crazy, lol

blue dye tests suck in general.

And you should never judge the light or dark of the lines on a test as to how viable the pregnancy is. There are so many different variables.
