How many weeks were you when you had your first prenatal appointment?

My daughter was a fertility treatment baby. I was under the care of my fertility doctor until I was released to my OB at 8 weeks. My fertility doctor checked my progesterone and hcg several times then at 5,6, and 7 weeks I had an ultrasound to make sure the baby is growing. At 9 weeks I had my first OB appointment, they did an ultrasound too.

With this baby my OB will only start seeing me around 6-8 weeks. I have a history of miscarriage and low progesterone despite taking supplements. I had to call and bug my OB to put me on progesterone and to check my levels. Im on another parenting website; the ladies who have had a couple miscarriages are seen right away by their OB. Im never about getting attached to this pregnancy only to lose it.

My first appointment is 3/6. I'll be about 7.5 weeks. And I'll be having an U/S to date the pregnancy. I'm not 100% sure when my last period was or when I ovulated (this pregnancy was a surprise).

Our appointments are in the same week! Mine is March 4th. I hope I get an ultrasound to date my pregnancy too. My LMP was December 15th but I got a positive OPK on January 28th and the early afternoon of January 29th.

My first appointment is this Friday. We've tried for a very long time for this baby.

I was seeing a fertility specialist, so we had a couple betas done already, and now on to appointments!

I just had mine today (at 5 weeks). I've had a history of early losses, and just made an appointment with a fertility specialist last month (haven't done any tests or interventions other than start progesterone 2 weeks ago). He wants to see me again at 7 weeks. And then he said if I make it that far he would want to see me weekly (!)

I'm a bit torn as to whether I want to have that many appointments (especially because my insurance is fairly crappy and may not cover some). Today eased a little anxiety, but I'm not sure of the point of a lot of early visits, especially if they can't do anything to change the outcome.

No miscarriages or fertility problems and I was seen at 5 weeks. They like to get you in right away here. My other pregnancies were at other OB offices and they waited until 7-8 weeks.

I'm having my first next Tuesday for the initial consultation, OB exam. From there we'll schedule an ultrasound. They didn't seem to concerned about rushing me in.

I had multiple miscarriage and infertility before having my two children. I guess that having two live births has made me much more confident than I was with either of them. My appointment isn't until March 4th. I have no idea how far along I am. I could be 5 weeks, I could be 16. I had a BFP in October when I was about to run a marathon. I was freaking out because I was supposed to run this marathon, and had just gotten a BFP. It was faint, so I showed it to some girlfriends and they all said BFP but DH said he wasn't so sure, so I took a first response early response digital, BFN. Next day I had some bleeding. Very light. But typical because I'm breastfeeding as well as training for a marathon (heavy exercise actually makes me skip periods sometimes) I've had two periods since then that were really just spotting, but one lasted for two weeks! Anyway, I told all of this to the midwife on the phone, and she said the earliest that she has an actual appointment is March 4th. But if I want, she could try to squeeze me in earlier. I said "Well... not like the baby will be going anywhere in two weeks, yeah?" meaning I can wait, but as soon as I said it I regretted it because I thought about my miscarriages. Not that I need to be seen sooner, just that I felt I was being insensitive by saying that, because sometimes babies DO go somewhere in two weeks' time, and I know that first hand.
