My doctor was sweet enough to call in a Rx for me without seeing me. OTC Pepsid just didn't do the job anymore. I took one of those lovely little pills last night, and for the first time in a week felt relatively normal. I am still burping this morning, but I'm not waking up with that horrible lump at the bottom of my neck. Laying off the OJ is probably helping, too. lol
I am now sleeping with snacks next to my bed to help with any nausea. If I don't eat at night, I definitely get that yack feeling. DH bought me some little cheeses, fruit gummies, and juice pouches. One of each on my nightstand. Extreme hunger avoided.
Just feel so good this morning!
Side note, I think our government learned that acid reflux can be pregnancy related. I sent my mom to the apothecary (we need to use this cool word more often) with money, and she said medicaid had it covered. Woot, cheap medicine!
Yay for relief!!! I'm burping a lot, but thankfully the acid reflux is manageable. Still I told Dh yesterday that I don't remember ever being this sick with Dd
I was telling DH last night how nice it was to not be so sick. Last time I kept horrible acid reflux combined with hyperemesis gravidarum for the entire pregnancy. I felt the baby move the first time at 8 weeks, and when I did, I couldn't even enjoy it. I was just miserable!
