My OB's office didn't specify, but with the early ultrasounds are you supposed to have a full bladder? Mine is tomorrow, woot! I can remember in another pregnancy they started then made me empty because it was so full it was blocking something they needed to see lol--but can't remember how far along I was for that.

i am pretty sure in vaginal ultrasounds you always need an empty bladder or it makes the pics fuzzy

I had 6 & 7 week ultrasound last time and they were both transvaginal scans. They also have you empty your bladder (usually) before these scans so the bladder isn't in the way.

I have a scan at 8 weeks and was told full bladder! I would call or just go with a full bladder and empty if needed. At least that way you're covered no matter what!

They had me empty my bladder. However, they never ask me to have a full bladder even later on.

I needed a full bladder, but if she needed to do the vaginal one she would have had me empty it. But it was not needed!

With my first pregnancy with my DD, I had to come in with a full bladder, they did an external ultrasound, couldn't see much, so they had go pee, and then they did a transvaginal ultrasound.

I have mine tomorrow too. I think the best bet is to call them since its looks like it varies from place to place.

With my ultrasounds last week the regular one you need a full bladder - but I tend to drink too much water and then they hand me some dinky cup and tell me to stop when I get to the top - ya right - and for a transvaginal they have you completely empty everything. Can't wait to hear your ultrasound update!
