I read that there was a published journal article on gender destermination based on position of the placenta? Apparently, according to this method ~ 97% of boys had the placenta on the right side of the uterus while ~ 97 % of girls had the placenta on the left. Anyone heard of this before?
Those who already had your u/s did you notice /ask where your placenta was? Also apprently when they do an abdominal u/s the image on the monitor is a mirror image and therefore has to be flipped sides to determine gender, the transvaginal would show the correct orientation.
Not sure how much this would work, but I plan on asking them today at my appt if they can tell which side it is...
My last 3 pregnancies I have had placenta precia diagnosed at 18-20 weeks which puts the placenta over my cervix. Thankfully it has corrected itself and moved, was never told if it went right or left only that it moved up?
Last 3 kids where.... Boy girl girl
Oh and at my scan yesterday there was not a placenta yet.... Still the yolk sac which she said would basically be pushed off and absorbed into the uterine wall.... Apparently the yolk sac does not turn into the placenta??
