Well everything went well, I REALLY like my OB and felt like I put everything out there for her. She had a hard time finding the baby with the transvaginal wand- my uterus is tilted and she said that c sections can actually make them tilt further. So she did the regular one and was able to find the baby and heartbeat. Heartbeat was 148 (lower than Sawyer's was). Baby is measuring 7 weeks, 1 day, but she kept my due date at 8 weeks.

We had a big conversation about VBACs because I want one. They are VBAC friendly though there are some restrictions- they will only let you go a week overdue, and there has to be some internal monitoring. Since it's such a small hospital, and a VBAC is sort of considered high risk- everyone comes and sits at the hospital the whole time you are laboring. (Instead of waiting at home for calls They don't encourage pitocin for VBACs (which I like) but she said if you were overdue and dilated and your cervix was favorable.., they may use a small dose of pitocin.

Yay for a good appointment! And it sounds like she might want to do an ultrasound the next appt to see if the transvaginal will date better.

WOOHOO! I'm so happy for you! It sounds like you had an amazing appointment

My doc said as long as you don't have a classical c (Which I do) you can have a vbac. I'm SO glad you get to give birth the way YOU want to. It's such a beautiful thing!

YAY!!! If you ever wanted to ask me about VBACs and such, pm me. I had one with #3. TOO many drs say they support VBACs, but when it comes to the day, they find all kinds of reasons to not do it. Are you connected with your local ICAN group?

Thanks, I will! They did say they encourage the epidural ( which I'm not totally against...but would like to try going natural possibly) and also said they would not go beyond 41 weeks (I was induced with Sawyer at 41 weeks) and that I'd have to be internally monitored so I wouldn't be able to use the tub at the hospital.

We are meeting with a potential doula in a few weeks that has had a VBAC herself and my plan is to labor at home for as much as possible...although I'm betting they would frown upon that.
