I asked my ob for one with a softener. Went to pick it up from Walgreesns and it was $5o for 30 pills! last pregnancy I think I paid 7?? That was for a generic too...not sure if this was just a super awesome prenatal or if there was some kind of mix up. I thin I might call tomorrow and ask if maybe there's a cheaper one??

There definitely should be a cheaper one. It could possibly be a newer generic on the market. The other alternative is that there's an issue with supply, but then any other ladies would be running into the same thing. Unless it's an issue with what they personally have on hand at that particular location.

Also, I'd check Costco, Walmart and Kmart or any similar stores in your area if possible. I've found them to be substantially less on some prescriptions. If nothing else I believe Walgreens has a discount plan, though it's hit or miss.

Wow, that's expensive! Mine were $10 for 30. I saw some for more than that and thought that was ridiculous.

My guess is it probably is brand name and it is non formulary. The pharmacy should be able to contact the Dr and get it changed to something that has a generic

Why do you need prescription prenatals? I take Rainbow Light and it's one of the best over the counter ones you can get. Amazon sells it pretty cheap.

If you have a Meijer close to you, the prenatal with dha are free no matter what.
