Has anybody experienced low progesterone on their bloodwork? My HCG came back in the 1200's but my progesterone was 8 so they want me to start taking 3x a day supplements and do bloodwork again tomorrow to see if the levels have come up. The nurse told me they see a lot of it and it doesn't mean I'm not maintaining the pregnancy and that an ultrasound wouldn't be too comforting as it might be too early to see the heartbeat. I'm nervous and anxious it seems so difficult to not know. Any advise?

It is pretty common and many women I know are on progesterone. I am on it...I asked my RE to be on it honestly. Its a bit messy and there could be a few side effects, but all is good. Take it the way you need to. Dont freak! Evverything will work out!

I am on the vaginal suppositories once a day (crinone 8%). it is the only thing I think has saved this baby. 8 is pretty low so I would start immediately. Once you start you should be fine Some women just need a little extra help.

I lost two pregnancies due to low progesterone - I wasn't on anything at the time.

I am taking progesterone twice a day orally. My best friend is also taking it but only once a day. I think it's pretty common to be on it.

Well like a crazy person I have scared myself to death by googling low progesterone in early pregnancy. I love my OB he's always been straight forward with me and my last 2 pregnancies. They didn't seem too concerned due to me not having any other bad symptoms they just want me to test my blood again tomorrow to make sure the levels are going up. I am holding onto that right now and trying not to stress too much. In the end there is only so much I can do and I'm doing that by taking the meds as directed. Fingers crossed and good vibes for tomorrow

I am on it too. I am doing the suppositories at night, but only a half dose each night. I have had three previous early losses, and am convinced that the progesterone is what has saved this little one so far.

Me too - on 100 mg 2 times per day. I also had early losses and never made it this far (so far so good!). Other than having some discharge, I don't think I've had any side effects, although I am nervous about when it will be time to come off them (doc said around 10 weeks)
