So last night a bit after midnight my 3 year old started calling for us. I was dead asleep and hopped out of bed to make my way to her room.
She felt warm and I decided to also change her night time diaper since she was up. The smell of her diaper was making me queasy and I was feeling kind of light headed.
Her and I walked back to the master and I asked DH to take over with her.
I scooted myself to the kitchen and grabbed a box of crackers and one of the kids juice boxes and sat on the floor to eat it. After that I started to feel more normal.

I think I needed to eat more before I went to bed last night. I was queasy and nothing sounded good. And then I guess jumping right out of bed did a number on my blood pressure?

It really freaked DH out.
I'll mention it to the doctor at my first appointment today.

Anyone else have trouble with feeling light headed?

I did yesterday when I got my blood drawn, it sucked because I had tried to prevent it by eating right before but it didn't work :/

Yes. I will get dizziness/woozy/lightheaded spells for a couple seconds. I just sit down and consciously breathe slowly and it goes away quickly.

I've had a slight amount of dizziness off and on nothing too bad though! Glad you didn't pass out or anything!

I felt a little light-headed yesterday getting my blood drawn too, which is not normal for me. Of course, I got the trainee who was practicing finding veins, so I was more nervous than normal. Not eating enough plus everything else going on with your circulatory system probably causes it.

I am currently feeling very light headed. I'm pretty sure mine is due to the progesterone I'm taking. I do have a history of low blood pressure but that dizziness usually lasts a few seconds. what I'm feeling right now is lasting for a long time, almost like a drunk feeling.

Yikes! I'm glad you got some crackers in time!

I felt that way a couple weekends ago after spending time outside in the hot weather. Hydrated or not I needed more shade and food, I think.

I have lower than normal BP (usually 118ish/75ish) without being pg and when I'm pg, it's even slightly lower. By the 3rd tri, it just gets into the normal range. I do get dizzy and lightheaded if I get up too fast or if I take a shower that's too hot, so just be aware of it and take precautions. I just about passed out in the shower with pg #3 and it was scary.

During my last pregnancy I too almost passed out in the shower. I also got dizzie spells when I didn't have lunch on time etc. This time around it is yet to hit me! Glad you got something to eat quickly!

Wow! Super scary! It happens to me if I stand up too quickly... Yeah, I'd definitely mention it to the doc. Hopefully it's nothing.

I don't remember if I had dizziness with my first daughter but with my second and this pregnancy I have had dizziness. I just try to take it extra easy and listen to what my body is telling me it needs. Usually just some food and rest.

Doctor wasn't worried, and she said I handled it the only way I could have.
I'll try and ease out of bed and maybe grab a drink next time.

Thanks everyone.

I know how scary that can be. I jumped out of bed the other night and had to grab onto something because I got dizzy but it passed quickly. I am glad the Dr. wasn't worried.

I've been a little lightheaded. I keep saltines by my bed since the m/s kicked in. I'll munch on a couple before going to bed and when I wake up. If I go to bed with nothing in my stomach I'm way worse when i wake up.

Im sure it was just a combo of not eating, adrenaline from being woken up and the smell. With second daughter I almost passed out once it was scary! Try to make sure you eat at least some crackers before bed and stay hydrated

Glad you were able to get something to eat and drink before you would have passed out and I'm also glad to read that your Dr. isn't concerned!!! I have gotten like that once a few weeks ago and attributed it to having low blood pressure! It's a freaky feeling for sure!
