Can you/ have you taken it while pregnant? I thought it was super safe, but it looks like its a class c, so I'm rethinking. I didn't get any printouts or anything from my doc, slim just going off what I can find online!

I'm pretty sure Pepto is on my list of DO NOT use items. I don't have my paper handy, but I'm like 95% certain that you shouldn't take it while pregnant.

I remember from my first pregnancy that it was on a list of things not to take. Maybe because of the salicylates (related to aspirin). I just looked up both aspirin and pepto, and it seems like they are class D in the 3rd trimester, but class C earlier. So, you shouldn't take it but it is probably not the end of the world if you have taken it a couple times.

I take a class C med right now. They decided it was worth the risks to get the benefits. I will be stepping to smaller doses over the next trimester until I'm not on it for about the last 4 months of my pregnancy.
Then I won't be bfing bcs I will be back on my meds after the birth.

I always heard it is a no no too. I admit though I did have to take it a couple of times last week when I had a horrible tummy virus.

I heard no because of the aspirin as well. There was a sub on my list, but I forget exactly which it was. The pharmacist said Kaopectate was OK, though I haven't double checked yet. He said it was essentially the same thing minus the aspirin.

Wow I'm surprised. That seems like something that would be harmless.
