Had my monthly check-up with the midwife yesterday. She cound't find the hearbeat with the doppler so we got to peak with ultrasound. She says the placenta is in the front and that is why it was hard to fond the heartbeat but everything looks great. I finally fessed up to some discomfort I have been having for a week plus in my pelvic region. Not full out pain but it is very uncomfortable at time, it has been steady on and off for a week plus at any given time of the day or night. She thinks its contractions but I don't need to worry about them yet, just my body's way of "practicing". I'm thinking I've already done this once do I really need to practice? If I have them for the next 26 weeks or so will my uterus be so strong the baby will fly out like a missile??

Glad you got to take a little peak at baby...sorry about the contractions though. But yes it looks like it's common to have BH contractions this early the second time around. I haven't had any yet, but many in the Sep DDc say they have been having it for a few weeks now.

I've been having BH off and on for almost the past week, but they don't hurt, they more make me freak out.

Yay for a good appointment, and hopefully all of these BH means that your uterus will be strong enough to pop that baby out without a problem!

YAY FOR SEEING BABY!
Oh, wow. BH this early? I hope it just means you have a very easy labor, if you do labor. Are you a c-section mommy?

wow! thats early! I think the earliest I started with mine was around 15 weeks.... it sucked. It was just that tightening feeling but it got annoying.

I didn't know you could have them this early either. But I've had off and on weird tightening in my belly, hmm maybe it was that. It was never painful, just weird.

Not a c-section mommy, my last labor was VERY hard (28 hrs with 4 hrs pushing - irregular shaped cervix) - so my fingers are very crossed for an easier labor this time!

That's how they started for me, had a few days when they were pretty intense and other days when I hardly notice them.
