I know its been a while, but with alot going on lately, its been hard to come online and have time for me..
So my update. Since my first ultrasound appt, I have heard the heartbeat (briefly as it was hard to catch but we caught it at 9 weeks!).. it was 132.. thinking boy !!!! all my girls heartbeats were high like 150s 160s.. so im thinking boy... which is good.
The not so good medically with me, Since feb when I first found out, I have lost 22 and counting lbs... my stress level living with the man thing has really taken a toll on my health. Not to mention the nausea (no vomitting!) so my dr advised strongly I get out of the stressful situation and well Im moving out on my bday- Apr 12. I have to start taking care of me. Havent been eating much, no appetite when there is stress and arguments, and on top its nausea....
So that was the first thing was the weight loss (im a bigger girl anyways, but to lose that much is not good... or so my dr says... she said its ok to NOT gain, but to continually lose, insead of seeing her every month, she wants to see me every two weeks to check my weight and vitals. Wants me to have boost or some meal replacement once a day to at least get some nutrients in me... ive yet to start taking them :S
Next is my vision, I was at work one day and started getting floaties, headache and dizzy... so i went in the office and the operations girl who knows im preg said it was my sugars, shoved a granola bar at me, told me to take it.. i was like no its ok ill be fine--- and she demanded i take it (everyone is great, if i dont feel like eating, they will make sure i get something in my mouth to have to keep me going!) anyways i took the bar, and within 5 min my floaties went away, and i had a mild headache... I told my mom she said the same thing.. my sugars... so now im freaking out even more (on top of my stress I have with my man thing) and none of my other pregnancies I never had gestational diabetes... so my next appt I think I might see if she can test me early bc of whats going one with me now... Its scary bc the other day again at work, I nearly passed out, hearing started to go, dizzy, I went and sat down in the office and grabbed a juice pack, and again 5 min later I was ok!!! (
This pregnancy has been terrible so far--- things I never experienced with my other two pregnancies, I am getting 10fold now!
Oh and CONSTIPATION like crazy... I was told to take metamucil--- but anything else thats good for that?????? I have to pick up three things at the store (but tomorrow since they are all closed today !) meal replacement Boost--- my b12 vitamins (RBC are low) and something for the darn constipation!
I wouldn't jump to GD right away, you mentioned you hadn't been eating much and that can make your sugars bottom out. If your sugar get's really low you can experience hypoglycemia symptoms like dizziness, headaches, and obscured vision. That's what my doctor told me anyway... Try to eat small meals and carry snacks around with you.
thanks ladies--- my life hasnt been the greatest since finding out, first he was all for it and we havent been trying but havent been protecting--- now that i am-- he was like well are u keeping it or getting rid of it--- like really!!! just some really negative comments that ive been getting, and the arguments have been a huge stress--- so i figure once im out-- that things will be different and I can move on without having him constantly putting me down
And I sure as heck hope I dont have the GD but my mom had it with my sister--- I was lucky with the first two -- hopefully with this one too but who really knows.. i know not eating much will affect, but this is something new thats developed within the past week or two--- not since becoming preg like the no appetite thing-- if it was the no appetite hardly eating-- i would have thought it would have started with the dizzyiness and vision blurryness much earlier--- like since feb! but its now started, and thats what has me worried--- if it wasnt something that happened suddenly then i wouldnt be as worried as much--- but it does worry me-- i'll figure it out soon!
Take care of yourself. It sounds like you're taking steps in the right direction, so that's wonderful. It sounds like if you make it a priority to eat more often that your medical issues will go away! Hope those supplements work.
