OK, so I really want to announce our pregnancy to dh's family tomorrow at easter brunch, and then tell my family on April fools day. I'll be 12 weeks tomorrow. Dh, however, is really nervous and wants to wait a few more weeks. After 2 miscarriages, he's just nervous about announcing to early (and I thought I was the nervous one!). So... Is 12 weeks to early? I don't want dh's mom thinking that I'm just getting really fat, or that I've become really lazy because I'm napping all the time. I also have the feeling that she already suspects we are pregnant. What would you gals do?

If your talk to them about the loss, I'd go for it! 12 weeks sounds like go time to me

Well...I am a couple days shy of 10 weeks and have had prior m/c, but we are still announcing tomorrow. Mostly because my husband is bursting at the seams and can't keep a lid on it anymore. I suppose if something happens, our families would have found out anyway, so we decided just to tell now.

At this point I think you can and should tell. After 12 weeks a miscarriage will most likely be caused by something specific and you would need family support.

I would absolutely tell the family! If you don't want it going out beyond the family just yet, ask them not to share on FB, ect.

I am 11 weeks tomorrow and we haven't told our kids yet, but my parents know. We are waiting until after our next Dr appt(tomorrow) to make sure they hear the heartbeat before we say anything. If you have passed that milestone I say go for it!

Thanks ladies! I did tell all my in-laws yesterday, and I sent out an email to my family today. So the cat's out of the bag now.
