I am going to the doctor tomorrow, this will be my 3rd apt. The first I just met with the nurse, and the second one I had an ultrasound with my doctor. I was just wondering if anyone else has gone in for a 12 week appointment and could tell me what to expect. I am not getting an NT scan so I doubt that I will get an ultrasound. Do they just do a doppler heartbeat check and measure uterus height? I am really hoping that it is not going to be blood work or anything too extensive since I will be by myself with my 3 year old right around nap time (not a good time for him to be out). I am very excited though and am ready to get it over with so I know everything is ok with baby.
I know at my 12 week appointment it's just a general 'boring' appointment. I go in, pee in a cup, get weighed and have my blood pressure taken. My doctor will probably also prick my finger to check my iron because I have a history of anemia. Then I go in, he uses the Doppler to check for the heartbeat, I ask any questions I might have, then I go home.
The appointment, after the NT scan today, was just my midwife looking over my blood pressure, weight, and heartbeat. She delivered the info about the NT scan, and they checked my urine for UTI. Thhhatttt's about it. The next appointment I told DH to skip b/c I bet it's going to be a 5 minute thing, just like this one!
My 12 week was my NT scan but tomorrow I go for a 13 week regular appt. I guess mine will always be a little off schedule since my first visit was at 9 weeks. I hope to have results from a few things but other that that I figure it will be urine, weight, blood pressure, Doppler...
