Well that was an exciting appointment.
I switched to a different doctor in my practice, and he is also the husband of a friend of mine! I've only met him once, but I've heard great things about him professionally.
He knew I was coming today, and was sweet enough to pull in an U/S machine and give me a nice peak! I couldn't say no.

He spent a while looking at the face, heart, hands, feet, etc. And then we happen to get a view right between the legs. He said he wouldn't paint the nursery just yet, but there was a lot going on between the legs and it looked like a boy to him. :teehee:

Since this is my 3rd baby, and (knock on wood) my pregnancies have been easy, I don't have to come back for 6 weeks. I'll be 18 weeks, and they will do the big U/S then too.
I think we are still going to pay for one at 15 weeks. DH seems excited about it too.

Pics of the baby!

Possible Gender shot?

Well that is awesome if he is right. Honestly I can't tell from that angle, but I am no where near as experienced as he is, lol.

I'm with you! lol.
I'm so pumped for my gender U/S now!
I've felt girl, DH, DS and my sister all think its a boy. Will be fun to find out.

I'm not sure if my pics are good skull or nub pics, if anyone is good at that?

On the between the legs shot, there is a leg on either side and then a bright bump in between, that is what he thinks looks like a whole lot of boy, but at this point it could also be swollen girl parts. Both of my kids were VERY obvious at 20 weeks, but this early girl parts can look a lot like boy parts as well, just a combination of how they develop and also the fact that the girl parts can get swollen in the fluid and look like an extra appendage on ultrasound I think it looks like a boy, but I agree with the doctor, don't paint the nursery yet Congrats on a good appointment!

How exciting! It'll be fun to see if he was right at your gender scan.

Glad you got to see bubs

At 12 weeks both genders still have a 'nub', just at different angles.

I was reading the early gender, skull and nub info on ingender.com yesterday.

I decided to post my pics so people could guess.
Not that it means anything, but they have all guessed boy so far!

My son would be over the moon. He is crossing his fingers for a boy. My daughter just wants lots of babies she said, lol!

I believe both boys and girls have nubs at 12w if I'm not mistaken. I think 14w is when it starts to become distinguishable? I dunno. Love the pics!!!
