We have a three bedroom, but the third is used as an office/guest room, and I would like to keep it that way. This baby will sleep in our room for at least the first six months. Then s/he will move into the room with our DD.

We have a two bedroom also, and our daughter will be 3 when the baby is born. The baby will probably sleep in our room until months or so. I am mainly concerned with either the baby or my daughter disrupting each other's sleep and nap by being in the same room. Also, I am a really light sleeper and started sleeping a lot better when my daughter started sleeping in the nursery in her crib, so I don't think I want the baby in our room for a year or more.

We are thinking or doing an addition at some point, but if we save up the money it would be a master bedroom on the first floor, and I feel weird about sleeping on a different floor than my kids when they are so young.

My problem isn't the living in an apartment. It's the not having a backyard to let my 4yo run around in. Our living space is fine. It's the outdoor space that's not.

We have 7 kids and 4 bedrooms.... obviously my kids share rooms. And even when they fight and all if for some reason their bedroom mate isn't there for a night, they do not like it.
