So I do not have a big belly yet, but it is definitely there and I've always had bad balance and not to mention the stairs at our apartments are metal and over winter iced up, causing me to fall. Sooo Dh always holds my hand when I walk down it because I'm lazy and he wants to be nice
Well we got our errands done and went to the renters office and she told me she thought I was having the baby because my purse is so big and he was helping me down the stairs!!
I asked DH if I looked THAT big already and he said no, but now I feel super self conscious (and awesome because at least I have a bump )
Just wanted to share because I thought it was funny I was going "No no no it better stay in there for a long while!"

The early bump...both a curse (we feel sooo big) and a blessing (we finally "look" pregnant)!

It seems like pregnancy negates all rules of normal social boundaries. People, especially acquaintances and strangers, like to say whatever they feel like to pregnant women. No one would test boundaries that much with non-pregnant people

I pulled up to the drive-thru teller at the bank, the first line, and she automatically asked me when I was due before saying anything else. YIKES! I guess it is more obvious when I'm sitting. My belly is out of control. LOL Look at this!!!

She must not know what a full term belly looks like.

You are so right. I remember last pregnancy I would get, "you are so small" and "you are so huge" from other teachers walking through the hallyway 2 minutes apart. When is it ever appropriate to say, "you are huge" to a woman??? And a pregnant woman, with the crazy hormones and The body image issues she is going through... The only thing to say to a pregnant woman is, "wow, you look great!" Then shut up and let her complain.
