So over the past few days, I've started to feel movement which is exciting!!! I can feel feather like light touches, pretty low. But then I am feeling little kicks or prods higher up on my belly. But I'm confused as baby is only as big as a lemon so how can I feel things in more than 1 area? (Not at one time!) Does baby swim around that much or maybe he/she is long? I dunno...maybe I'm imagining things!!

Can't help ya, since I can't feel a darn thing! That's awesome though that you're feeling movement!

I thought it was really funny at my last ultrasound, the baby was literally kicking off the side of my uterus like a trampoline. It was so weird to watch that and not be able to feel anything! Can't wait to finally feel something!

I've felt the same thing and wondered that too!! I've had some thumps almost up by my belly button the past few days...but squirms down low I think. Weird!

Yeah I'm picturing the whole stomach region being one of those inflated balls that you see at carnivals that you pay to put your kid into, and they float around, bouncing off the sides of the ball and rolling around in it like a hamster. I wondered the same thing, if babies are in there bouncing until they get bigger and just fill the space all up. If you find out, holler! Though I do like the visual - baby lemon/superball.

I think it might be baby kicking and then organs moving around up there because baby would not be able to get that high
Here is a cool visual of how everything in there goes

Yeah, i feel the same thing. Bumps and thumps higher up. My midwife thought it was probably gas bubbles moving through my intestines. She said the gas feel different than it normally wold because your intestines are getting all constricted and crunched up as the uterus grows.

I don't know. I want to think it is little kicks. I love feeling the baby move

Me too! I'm just going to pretend its little kicks because organ gas bubbles are boring, haha.

If it's much higher than only about 1" above your pubic bone, I'd say it's gas. I get lots of those feelings throughout the day. The baby's movements are a little different and much further down.

The movement I feel is all low, still below my belly button and above my crotch.

Baby is about 4 inches. That's a pretty wide range of movement possibilities. Plus, where your uterus is. Mine is already above my belly button and has been for a couple weeks. I feel movements high, low, and every where in between.

I feel them all over where my uterus is. I best feel the kicks down low. Sometimes I'll get little punches near my belly button, and once or twice I thought I felt something near my ribs. I figured that has to be gas, though! lol But 4 inches is like rump to head. Add in the legs, and that baby is longer than you'd think!

I saw mine do an actual somersault on an ultrasound so you could feel a lot in many different places in a short time, I think.

Yeah, you can totally add another 1-2" for the legs!

I feel them inbetween my pubic bone and belly button usually, sometimes off to one side more than the other.

Before you know it we will be feeling kicks to the ribs.
