I am ordering and sewing/designing my own baby bedding and boy's nursery. I am thinking about using the blue or ecru Breathable Mesh Liner instead of a traditional bumper. 1. They are cheaper $25.00 at target. 2. They let air flow and you can see the baby through the liner compared to a big fabric bumper. 3. The baby can't pull on cloth bumper ties or get arms caught in crib rails.

Anyone else try these are use these and if so please let me know what you think about them. I am pretty impressed so far based on the research that I have seen and read reviews.

We used the breathable mesh bumper for our daughter. I thought they were great. I tried not using bumpers, and she would get her legs stuck between the slats, so for me it was a good option. Had no issues. Essentially it is the same material as the pack and play has on the sides, and she slept in that for her first few months.

I thought you weren't supposed to use bumpers any more? Though I guess I can see an arm or leg getting jammed up in there.

I plan on using the mesh liners - have heard nothing but good things about them from my sister in law who has 4 small daughters.

I put that one in my secret baby wish list on amazon - it's 23.99 there, free shipping with prime and likely free standard shipping above 25.00 orders. FYI!

Thanks for the tip! I was just going to go no bumper but I don't like the idea of little arms getting all jammed up.

I had one and will use it again. No issues. A bonus is that it helped keep pacifiers from falling through the slats.

My SIL loved hers. I had a regular bumper for Alice, and it would ride up to where she'd still get her legs caught. PnP for DD2 was the best decision ever.

I used a mesh one with my son, and we used the regular bumper with my daughter.
Not sure what we will get for #3.
