I feel like I am thinking about this too early, but at the same time it is fun to think about. I am really thinking of naming this baby Ruth, if it is a girl (we don't want to know until birth, so we have to have a name ready for each gender) Ruth is the name of my great aunt, and we loved her dearly. I can't think of a good middle name to go with it though! Any thoughts?

Is the last name short or long?? I don't need to know it, but the length might help!
I liked Ruth Elaine

I like Ruth Elise too. or what about:
Ruth Lorraine
Ruth Olivia
Ruth Evangeline
Ruth Angelina
I think pairing it with a longer name works the best since it's just a one-syllable name.

I'd have to agree. When I think of the name Ruth, Anne would fit as a middle name to me. Good luck deciding!

I automatically think Ruth Anne too, but I think because my childhood friend's mother had that as her middle name. I think something that starts with a vowel.

Ruth Ann/Anna
Ruth Alice
Ruth Elaine/Ellen

My oldest twin is Mylyn Ruth. Ruth is my grandma's name (and my hero). We came up with Mylyn from my middle name "Lyn". May sounds good as a middle name. I love sweet, simple names...

Thanks all! Clare is my daughter's middle name so whie I like Ruth Claire I don't think that would work LOL Anne is my own middle name, but that might be kind of sweet to share the same middle name? I also thought of Anne, but I didn't know if that would be weird or not.

Thanks for all the suggestions, now I have my footing on it. I don't know why, I was just drawing a complete blank!

Ruth Margaret would work too, because I have a great aunt on my grandpa's side named margaret as well, so it might balance things out a little- named after my grandma's sibling and my grandpa's sibling. Everyone tells me I'm a lot like Margaret.

What about Ruth Nissa? I've heard that name a couple times, it means miracle. It's not usually my style to do something trendy like that, but I kind of like it

Actually I know two people with the first name of Ruthanne/Ruthann, so you could maybe do that and pair it with claire or Elise or Katherine...just a suggestion, but I do think that Ruthanne Claire is adorable sounding!!
