We are having such trouble picking a boys name. We are irish and I love the name Connor, but my hubby does not, so we are trying to be fair and pick something else. The latest choices are:

Jake
Nolan
Daniel

Thoughts?

Middle name will likely be Patrick

I like Nolan. Jake Patrick doesn't flow as well since there are two names with the "K" sound at the end. Do you like the name Sean? oe Ryan? I think those go well with Patrick.

Out of those, I like Connor with Patrick.. Sorry. ^^I like Julie's options above, too. Sean and Ryan would go nicely, and Sean is irish.

I agree that Jake Patrick doesn't flow well for me. I do like Daniel Patrick the best and Nolan Patrick second. I do like Sean Patrick though, that flows nicely.

My dh wanted to use Conner for our second son, but with the last name Garner it sounded horrible to me. Conner Garner was too much of a tongue twister.

You've heard this before, but... in 1999, my son's name was going to be Nolan up until he was born and then we named him Andrew. I'm a BIG fan of Nolan! Jake, I know a bazillion. Daniel is a classic name for me. One I'll always love.

I like Nolan, mainly because it's one of those names that isn't as popular as it used to be, and I like to stay away from names that will have my kid going by his last initial all through school I agree about Jake, ending in the "k" sound. Jacob would sound good though! Then when you say his whole name, it doesn't as harsh, but you could still call him Jake (when not calling him by his first, middle, and last name).

I like Nolan. Nolan Patrick seems to flow a lot better than the others. If you're going for a more Irish feel and tone, I agree with Sean Patrick. Good luck picking a name!!!

I have always liked Jake, and around here at least I haven't met any little boys with that name. There are a ton of Jacks, but no Jakes. But I would go with Jacob Patrick as the official name. I like Daniel better than Nolan, but both are good too.

I was going to say Jacob too, cuz of calling him Jake for short!!! Also, like the name Nolan, cuz it flows well!!

Good luck!!! Both DH and I agree on our names this go around, except for spelling

I'm not a huge fan of Nolan, but mostly because I knew a Nolan and I didn't really like him... So that's not very fair! I think Daniel Patrick flows well though. DH and I thought about doing Declan which is Irish. I also prefer Connor over the other 3 names!
