Took the kids to a water park yesterday that has a lot of hills to walk up and down and I'm paying for it now. Ugh, I cannot believe how much my lower back hurts when I move. I'm sitting on my couch trying not to move right now. Yikes!
Sorry to hear that, mama! I am going to Disney in 2 weeks and kind of dreading it - I can't go on rides, it's going to be blazing hot, and I'll end up being the bag watcher. Totally not worth the 100 bucks that it costs to go to Disney, that's for sure. I can hear the varicose veins popping already.
Plus side is I'm totally going to get a forbidden lunchmeat hoagie the next day when I have my preggo walking hangover - I don't care! There is a Wawa in Orlando near our hotel! It's a no brainer.
I'll be curious how the Disney trip goes; some family may be coming down from Canada in August and we are considering a MK trip to see the expansion. I know I'll have rule out the three mountains, but not sure about the others.... Though I kinda want to try to get on Splash just to see if the attendants would actually say something. I'd think you'd be able to wait inside in the parent swap area though, instead of outside.

Oh man I totally feel your pain, though it is in my arms and belly... ugh. DH has been wanting to try canoeing since we moved up to the middle of nowhere, so when my dad said he was going we decided to try it out. I must say I've been canoeing a total of ONE time on a river and I didn't know what I was doing then so I'm no expert. DH like me had been on a lake many times, but as he now recalls he was a kid, and with an adult who probably did all the work and never instructed him on anything regarding the steering...
My parents and brother got in the water ahead of us so no one told us (though I suspected it) that the heavy and stronger person should be in the back, but DH insisted on being in front so away we floated, into this tree, then into the next one, and then the next one. We switched places, re-learned how to steer, ran into some more trees and the shore a few hundred more times, and finally learned what we were doing... today I'm SO sore!!!! DH is a master now, and I refuse to go canoeing while pregnant EVER again.
Oh my gosh Melissa! A Wawa hoagie sounds AMAZING right now! They are DH's favorite too! We don't live in an area where they have them, but whenever we go to visit my family in NJ we get them all the time. I can't wait to move to FL and have them within arms reach again!
YES! I hear you on the back pain! We've had a VERY couple of busy weeks packing and preparing the house to be shown to sell. I did a garage sale on Friday and Saturday and I was really hurting. Add in nightly fireworks showings and yeah.... my varicose veins were killing me. Thankfully I seem to be better yesterday and today... but still, not used to having to watch that.
