Since yesterday my left hip has been in excruciating pain. It is horrible. I am going to assume it is because of a car accident that I had back in 2006 where my pelvic bone was broken in two places on that side and she is getting heavier in there and putting more pressure on that area. It really sucks though. I had a horrible time walking around the house last night and ended up almost in tears. I went to bed in hopes that a good nights sleep would help, but unfortunately this morning it still hurt just as bad. I ended up taking 2 extra strength tylenol. It curbed the pain, but it is still there.

That sucks. My hips kill me, especially at night and I can't imagine how bad it'd be if it had been broken before. I've found sleeping with pillows at night, either between my knees or under my hips, helps comfort at night. Still sucks though. I walk like a weeble wobble.

Oh yeah if I didn't have that pillow at night between my knees I know that I wouldn't be able to walk the next day. Those things are a life saver. Usually when I stand up or if I have to take a step up or down it takes me a second to recover from it because of the radiating pain. Forget it if I have to squat down. I can't even stand that pain.

Yep, there's no bounding out of bed for me. And of course peeing 68 times before bed doesn't help. That 15 feet or whatever to the toilet is horrible. I try holding my belly, but it doesn't seem to have much effect. I think I want a catheter.

Jamie I'm telling you get a support band! It will help displace the weight off your hip & back immediately. I also have to use tiger balm at night now on my back & knees to help ease the pain/ discomfort, works better then Tylenol for me.

I had to use a belly band last pregnancy when my sciatica/hip was killing me. I would get stuck on one position like trying to crawl into bed and be in so much pain I could move. It made a world of difference. I have hip pain this time as well but a different sort of pain, the band has not helped this time.

Hope you feel better soon, Jamie. Did you try sleeping with a pillow between your legs to straighten out your hips during sleep? It might help.

Sciatica? I have a touch of it starting, but I have been doing stretches to get rid of it. I'm so scared I will get a full blown case of it. I had it once. I had just lost a pregnancy, and the only good thing about that was I could take an anti-inflammatory. It was miserable!

I read up on sciatica, and it doesn't sound like that. I think it is just putting pressure on an area that was previously broken. I know I get can get horrible hip pain if I walk all day when I am not pregnant. Now it is just amplified because of the extra weight. My ortho doc told me that I would most likely have this problem in life thought because of where in my pelvic bones the breaks were. It isn't surprising, just annoying, lol.

Amber, I do sleep with a pillow between my knees, it does help some.

OH that's terrible. I hate those round ligament pains. I had some problems with those last week. Thankfully that has gone away now.

I know she had a major growth spurt last week. If you look at my 24 week pic and my 27 week pic, there is a HUGE difference. I think that may be what was causing the intense ligament pain. I think my body just needed a little bit of time to get used to her growing like that.

ugh, I'm sorry! Pregnancy is hard enough without the history of a car accident! Hope you find some relief soon.

I've woken up twice the last 2 nights with charlie horses. I could barely walk yesterday. And today I've got a cramp on my left side that isn't going away. I had a bunch of BH yesterday too so I'm wondering if it's a growth spurt....
