At this time of night? It would be perfect! No traffic! It would take me about an hour.
If I go into labor anytime between 3am - 5pm and it can possibly take me 3 hours because Virginia is crazy.

It would be about 10 minutes to drive. BUT getting the stuff in the van and making sure the other kids are covered... well I may just have the baby at home then LOL

I'm birthing at home, hopefully, but if it happens before 37 weeks it would be a 2 min drive, and maybe a 7 min walk to the hospital.

30 minutes to get to the hospital. But I'd want to make sure dogs are fed, pottied and watered, grab my bags. I don't think I'd feel too rushed, I imagine I'll labor for a while.

About 5 mins to get to the hospital. If we need to drop the boys off on the way, it would probably be 15-20 mins.

We're planning a home birth, but if I end up having to transfer to the hospital (again), it's only 8 min. away.

45 minutes if DH is at home or I drive myself. If he is on shift then I need to wait for him to make the two hour drive home and then the 45 minute drive to the hospital.

20 minutes to run around panicking and grabbing the essentials (I'd be panicking so the list of "essentials" would probably be pretty peculiar)

10 minutes to call my mom and freak out while she over-advises me on what to do next.

30 minutes to find my keys because that's just how my life goes - I never lose them unless I'm in a hurry.

10 minutes to get the animals squared away

15 minutes to get part way to the hospital and realize I forgot my wallet, turn around, retrieve wallet.

30 minutes to get to hospital for reals this time.

...so just short of 2 hours, looks like. Dear god.

It takes about 15-20 mins to get to the hospital if there isn't too much traffic. I don't have my bag packed or the car seat installed yet though so that would be a problem, especially if DH weren't home. I would probably just leave with whatever I could grab and and worry about the car seat later, have my Mom bring it, etc.

I'm planning a homebirth, so it is more dependent on how long it takes the midwife to get to me.
Answer: 3 hours!!!! eek!
in an emergency where I would need to transfer to the hospital it will take me 30 mins. Wont have to worry about childcare or anything though cause a friend is going to be staying with us for the birth and her husband would probably get stuck watching all the kids! poor guy.

It's 20 minutes from where I live to the hospital...Eric works 3 minutes away, so even if he is working when I go into labor, he would be home by the time I am ready to walk out the door.

Well, there are a lot of factors that play in here...for starters, if I don't get induced and let baby come whenever, I am about 1 hr 10 mins from home, about 50 mins from work. I was thinking about carrying my packed bag with me everywhere beginning Oct. 1st. I'm not at all abusing my job, but fortunately I know most if not all of the cops/deputies/troopers in the counties I will be travelling through to get to the hospital, if I need to put the hammer down . I do not want the deputies I work with to watch me deliver...ugh, I'd never be able to return to work after every male saw my hooha!! lol...My hubby has already received permission to take me in his trooper car if need be. I will make phone calls on the way to get animals taken care of, if the kids are home, I will drop them off at mom's on the way, if one is in school, she will walk to sitter, my youngest will go with me and get dropped off at moms. If hubby is working when I go into labor, I hope that he is not on a call, cuz if so, he will have to clear that, have the guy he is training, take him to the office so he can grab his car, he will have to get home and change and then meet me at the hospital, but this is if I'm working at the same time he is...Holy cow, what a mess!!! lol
