I find it funny that my mom is super excited that this baby is due so close to her birthday, but also feeling torn because it is her 50th birthday and she wants to go on a cruise to celebrate.
I honestly don't care if she is gone when the baby is born, I live 3 hours away from her and she wasn't wanting to be there during the birth, so what's a day or two more if the baby is born while she is on her cruise?

(I think part of the reason she is worried is that I'm planning a HBAC and she is 'ok' with it but still worried about me)

My parents decided to cancel their October cruise (I cannot remember when in October it was, they go on at least 3 a year) and I couldn't figure out why either. We are in Indiana and they are in California. Neither are coming out this time around until Thanksgiving when my mom is coming, so its not like they are going to miss anything. I think they will just be upset if they aren't the first to know she is here because they are out of reach.

Good luck with your HBAC.

My inlaws scheduled a trip to Israel on Oct. 16th...that's when my doc says my due date is, highly unlikely that I make it til then, but they never come over til after baby is born, they do visit in the hospital usually, but never want to be there while I'm delivering, which is fine. I don't really care if they make it or not, but I just feel like they are always too busy to see our kids anyhow at any time, so this really makes no biggie to me.

As long as I don't give birth on my due date (Oct 11) I don't care when the baby comes. My oldest does NOT want to share her birthday.

My mother is going away for ten days at the beginning of september, so I doubt it will conflict with the birth . If it does we will just have to ask my sister, who also lives next to the hospital, to babysit.

SO's parents are on a trip to Europe as of today, so I've been told to keep a cork in it at least for the next 3 weeks. Kuato better! He's not done baking. My mom does think I'll go as early as late September. She says I'm huge. SO's daughter's birthday is early October, so I'm hoping he doesn't come then. Hope she gets to keep her day. There are various other birthdays right around my due date, but none that are a conflict really. I do hope he comes in October though, as uncomfortable as I may be.

Psh...my in laws are out of town and I was hoping my father would leave too. Less family here the better!

My FIL doesn't want to share his birthday, and it is just a few days shy of the due date. Hope he's not upset if the baby decides differently.

My daughter's birthday is on Oct. 17th and I'm due on the 25th. I really would prefer that they didn't share a birthday, but other than that I don't care what day the baby is born.

Thank you, MommaDucks, for my lovely siggy

My cousin's daughter's bday is on my due date. She's 9 & is thrilled about it. My step brother in law's son is the day before my due date. My nephew's about 2 weeks before. A friend's son 2 days after. My boss' daughter the same as my due date. I know there is more, but that's all I can think of. In any event, I hope I don't hit any of the kid's bdays (I have like 5 adult friends born in oct). Besides the fact that it will be so hard to plan parties, I think each kid deserves their own special day. But he'll come when he wants, I don't have much control!

My Mom has an appointment 45 min away with a specialist for a very important procedure she should have had done years ago, the day before my due date & she wanted to cancel because it was that close to my due date. Oh boy did I give it to her!

I'm due the 17th. I have my grandfather, aunt, and FIL's birthday on the 7th. My niece is the 11th (not that that would be horrible, but we are estranged from SIL and she'd think I'd do it in spite of her. Since apparently everything I do is in spite of her).

I can't believe I am saying this, but if he went late (the 19th) that would fit into our numbers as a family. My day of birth is the 7th, Alexis is 8th, DH is the 19th, Chloe is the 20th. Everleigh's was also the 7th, and Jude would fit perfectly if he matched DH too. But don't remind me of this when I'm large and miserable at 39 weeks.

Really though. I'm pulling for the 12th, only 5 days early so not asking for much. It's the Michigan Wolverine vs Penn State game--- huge rival between DH and my family. I just think it would be a fun day for him to be born on

my oldest DS was born on October 28th. This little girl is due on Oct 11th, so I don't think I have to worry there. My youngest DS was born on August 2nd which is one day before my mom's bday. She wanted him born ON her bday, but it didn't work out that way, lol.

my mom's birthday is the 30th, my due date is the 26th, and so far I've gone early both times so I don't anticipate going late this time... but who knows.

My MIL's B-day is Oct 2nd and she's not my fave person so I really hope my LO won't decide to come on that day.
My Dad's B-day (who I am also not close with) is Oct 19th but the likelihood of giving birth that day is pretty slim. My due date is Oct 12th and my OB won't let me go past 41 weeks.

Im crossing my fingers this one doesn't come on Sophies birthday for some reason. That would NOT be good!

Thankfully my inlaws have no plans to come here or even seem to care, and my mom is local, but wont be there when I have the baby.
