Marlow is here! He was supposed to be delivered via c-section on the 1st, but I went into labor on my own on the 30th. By the time I got to the hospital I was 7cm dialated and by the time I got epi, almost 10. So all that pain for a scheduled section. Boo! I waited way too long!

Everything went great with the section compared to last time (bled out). So, we were super excited!

9 pounds 15 oz
21 3/4 inches long
All boy!

We did good for 24 hours, but then he started pooping blood, so he ended up in the NICU. Of course, the blood is worrisome, so the doctor kept him today and listed ALL the possabilities of what is going on. Some of those reasons we can live with, some are very scary. So far it looks ok, and hopefully it is just a milk allergy or something quick and easy to fix.

The only thing is the procudures to rule out all the bad things. He needs to stay in the NICU for awhile, no eating for 24-48 hours, and so on. So, I go home tomorrow and Marlow stays prob an average a week...could be a little less, could be more.

The iv's on his hands, feet and head are already proving diffciult to maintain, so they needed to put an umbilcal cord cath in. However, that went well.

Either way, it has been a scary 24 hours and we are praying hard that he will be ok. DH and I are very scared and nervous, but we are trying to stay positive. We love him so much already.

Hope everyone is doing well!

Congrats!!! Sorry he is in NICU, hope it's nothing too serious.
Wow, you got all the way to a 10! How come they didn't let you push and avoid surgery recovery?

I'm curious why they didn't let you push as well... seems like a long way to get and then have a section anyway.
I'm praying for Marlow, I hope he is ok! I know how scary having your infant in the hospital is, my son was admitted when he was 7 weeks for an episode of nto breathing.... it is nerve wracking and I'm so sorry you are going through it.. though for very different reasons. I'm praying you and hubby are doing ok too!

Congratulations! I am also sorry he's not feeling well. I hope it's nothing serious and y'all can go home soon.

Also wondering why they couldn't let you try to push. Here you have to have a resident physician to have a VBAC. Not sure if an OB would allow a woman to push even at 10 cm, and I guess in the end it's their call.

DD2 went in at 4 weeks for not breathing. They watched an episode, told me it was a seizure, and it ended up being reflux. Annoying to spend a week in PICU for reflux, but I am glad it wasn't seizures!
