Umm...help! TMI warning - I just went to the bathroom, and when I wiped, there was a spot of blood on the toilet paper. The spot was no bigger than a pencil eraser. My first thought was maybe I had nicked myself while shaving and it was bleeding, so I grabbed another piece of tp and wiped along the outside of my vagina to see if there was any blood there, and there was nothing. So I grabbed another piece, and wiped along the INSIDE, and had another spot of blood, this time smaller than the first one.

There was absolutely no mucus, and I have also not lost any of my mucus plug (I've been checking every time I go for a couple weeks now). I do feel slightly crampy, like menstrual cramps.

What the crap is happening to me???

It could still be the mucus plug - it's just taking its time lol ew.
I would call if your freaking I'm pretty certain they'll say wait it out so I'd put on a pad, check the time, and call so you're prepared when they tell you to do that lol

No sex, and no cervical checks...it's probably just nothing, but I'm freaking out all the same! lol this has been a very non-eventful pregnancy for me, so seeing blood is super weird for me!

I would call labor & delivery at your hospital and see what they say.
Stay calm and timing everything!

Ditto the calling. It doesn't sound like a lot, but if even a little is regularly coming I'd guess they'd want to check.

Not yet...I've been kind of busy at work tonight and haven't had a break long enough to make a phone call.

I have run down to the bathroom a couple of times since then, and no more blood. Still having the crampy feeling. I'll try to take a break here in a couple minutes and call over there just to be safe.

Okay, I snuck out and called...they said that the cramping is probably just Braxton Hicks, and the blood is probably just my body preparing for labor, and since it was such a tiny amount they aren't too concerned with it. They just told me to call back if I start having time-able contractions or if I start having lots of blood. Sooo...basically I'm just paranoid!

You are not paranoid. You are getting prelabor symptoms. They might go on for a day or three weeks but they are real symptoms.

sounds like prelabor to me... congrats! You may have a baby in your arms sooner than you think... though I think you should wait until after I have mine, it is only fair you know.. I'm due two days sooner than you...
I wouldn't worry unless you get a significant amount of blood on a pad... a little drop could just be your cervix starting to dilate or efface... stay calm, relax and well feel free to be excited.. but don't worry.

I feel certain that little Wolverine is just tricking me, and he will probably stay put for at least another 24 days, just because he knows I don't want him to be born in November. That being said, I shall certainly keep you all posted if something happens to change in the near future

maybe it is Wolverine's claws that are causing the blood?

Glad all is ok Jenny, at least now you know not to worry. I would freak too, must be strange to see blood after so long with nothing specific to link it to.
