I usually try for the day after thanksgiving too, but DH almost never co-operates... this year I have no idea, I don't even know what house I will be in. I had planned to get one as soon as we got to Oklahoma, but now I don't even know if we are going to OK.
We will be having our first christmas right before Thanksgiving when my mom is coming to visit, so we will have ours up for that, probably the week before Thanksgiving. Normally I would put it up sometime Thanksgiving weekend.

I don't even know. This will be my first year really having a reason to decorate - up til now I've been all single girl and no reason to have a tree up of just me. I know it'll be mostly symbolic this year, but it'll still be nice.

Traditionally we put it up the day after Thanksgiving. Growing up my mom would start getting everything out that morning and we would spend the day getting things ready, listening to Christmas music, watching Christmas movies, and eating yummy leftovers.
Since we will be in Texas this year I am going to ask the soldier who will be staying at our house if he wants it up. If he does we will put it up the day before Thanksgiving (we fly out that night).
