I think they should have a box to check if you're mixed race or one that says "other" and then lets you add the races YOU want to include. If you choose 2 races then they shouldn't cross off one either. Maybe some people can identify more with one race then the other if they are mixed.
I'm wondering WHY some of you have been asked what is the father? Then are told to check of the fathers race on those forms. Why do they think the fathers race should be chosen as the childs race? The baby came from your body so I don't know that should mean something. I don't think either race should be left out.
I think all the race questions are obnoxious! How many people now a days are only one race? I hate the term white. I'm a mixture of many nationalities. If I am forced to choose just one for our children, I choose pacific islander because DH is 100% Filipino and I'm a mixture of Norwegian, German, Irish, English, Dutch etc...
