Hello. I've been on JM for a few months but today was the first time I ever scrolled all the way down the list of threads and saw just how many there actually were, including this one, so I thought I'd join. My name is Kelsey, I'll be 24 in a few weeks, and my husband and I are expecting our first child in July. I myself am biracial (mom is white, dad is black), but 90% of people I meet think I'm hispanic anyway. My husband is white.
I live in and grew up in a small city with a lot of nationalities and a lot of mixed race families, so it was pretty normal for me growing up. I don't really identify with any cultures except "American". Can't wait to meet my baby in July!

Hi there. I'm Melissa and I have two children, they are in my siggy..
I too am Bi-racial.. I'm half Filipino and half German.. I'm also first Generation American.. My DH is 100 % Mexican, but he's first generation American too.. I too don't relate to any culture, just proud to be an American..
I also get mistaken alot for being Hispanic.. So I can relate to that too.
