How do you plan on teaching your kids or talking to them about the inevitability of people perceiving them to be one race or another? What would you say to your kids about how to respond to these comments/questions?

I actually can't say right now. This is probably going to be an on-going concept to teach since he can't see. I may just have him correct them. Unless he has my hair, I don't think anyone is going to think he's anything but hispanic. So far the only thing he has from me is my nose. People can look one way and be another. Strangers constantly think my son is really tired but I tell them that he's blind.
I dunno. Definitely something to think about.
