I'm Susan (31), my hubby is Tom (47). We have been together 6 years now, married 4. I have two older kids (Megan, 13 next month and Marcus, 11) from a previous marriage. I had these two when I was young and apparently much more fertile... lol We also have a zoo of furbabies! My daughter has a fluffy tiger cat, and I have a big fat siamese too. We have two dogs, a golden and chocolate lab. The chocolate lab is my baby, Joy (and she definitely is!). The golden was gotten to help my son. He has aspergers and he needed a forever close, understanding, friend who has unconditional love. Lucy has helped him and brought him out and they are so happy with each other. It's amazing.



Tom and I have been trying since 2009 for our first baby together. I don't ovulate naturally. I also suffer from depression, and that's been hard with infertility and wanting this baby so badly. Because I get so upset and discouraged it took me awhile to get to the doctor.
I worked with one md in 2010, then another in 2011. I lost 55 pounds trying to regulate my cycles and it did nothing. We did blood testing and an HSG test, they all looked fine. My ovaries just didn't want to work!!

Finally, in 2012, near the end we went to see a fertility specialist. He said we should try Clomid. And now we know why it's called the miracle drug!!! The second cycle on clomid we got this!! :

And now we sit and wait for little bean!!
First blood work is tonight.
First blood test 2/13/13 - hcg 65, progesterone 23
Second 2/15/13 - hcg 135 - DOUBLING AS NORMAL! Yay!


First dr appt in Friday, 22nd.

While it seems frustrating to try for all that time it seems like you were able to make other positive life changes that will be nothing but good for your family and your baby! Congrats to you, your hubby, and family

7 eggs retrieved, 3 fertilized, 2 transferred - zero snow babies
BETA # 1 16DPO or 11dp5dt = 569
BETA # 2 19 DPO or 14dp5dt = 1078
BETA # 3 22DPO or 17dp5dt = 2414 TWINS!
BETA # 4 30DPO or 25dp5dt = 12,685 6weeks 3days 2 heartbeats! 114 & 116

Congrats! Babies are so exciting, regardless of how long you've tried, but I can imagine you are one happy lady over there! here is to a happy healthy nine months!

First ultrasound!!

I am 6 wks 3 days by my calculation of ovulation. The baby sizes up as 6 weeks 2 days!
Heartbeat is 112 bpm. Normal for 6-7 weeks is 90-110.

7 Weeks, 6 days



Obviously we can tell the baby is growing, which is great! The HB was 146bpm so that is awesome for just about 8 weeks, and has sped up dramatically.
