Starting this pregnancy at my heaviest ever

5'6 and 187 lbs. 8 of which I gained AFTER giving birth and full time breastfeeding - go figure...
My goal weight is 162 - puts me at a size 8 which is good for my frame, but haven't even been close for 4 years

So I am 25 lbs overweight.
Last pregnancy I started at 172 (was doing 45 minutes Tae Bo daily at the time and up until the 6th month) and gained 20 lbs by 40 weeks. Came home from the hospital 182 then started creeping up instead of back down.
A couple months back I was done with it and decided to do low carb - which always worked for me in the past - but this time around I only lost 3 lbs in 1 month and I was having 20 grams of carbs a day!! (think 1 large salad w/some crumbled cheese, no sugar, no flour, no fruit no starchy veg)
Checked my thyroid - is fine. Still very frustrating not being able to take the weight off no matter what I try.
I walk at least 45 minutes 4 times a week pushing a (heavy) stroller and we live in a "hilly" neighborhood.
My sugar has been crazy too - very high fasting and I'm already on the GD diet but honestly its too much food for me and my fasting numbers are not budging.. SO probably gonna have to go on insulin again for the duration like pregnancy #1 since high normal for non-pregnant women is too high in pregnancy.

If you want the diet I'll be happy to share but it's a lot food it seems to me ....
