OK, I dug out the pregnancy book that had the tea recipe. The book is The Natural Pregnancy Book: Herbs, Nutrition, and Other Holistic Choices by Aviva Jill Romm.

In the book it states its good throughout pregnancy, labor, and helps with milk production after birth. There's also a lot of vitamins in the brew.

2 parts red raspberry leaf
2 parts nettle
1 part oatstraw
1/2 part alfalfa
1/2 part rose hips
1/4 part red clover
1/4 part spearmint leaf

I actually just bought bulk herbs online (I have many left over which should likely be tossed now - lol), but I thought the tea was pretty good. I didn't drink it daily, but I think that was more due to laziness - lol.

Nice share. I would just check with your midwife, they recommend over here that red raspberry leaf tea is taken later rather than earlier in the pregnancy, the recommendations may be different in the US or since last year tho.

Don't you hate it that things change by the minute? I likely won't make any until my 2nd trimester anyhow. Not like I'll be able to keep much down anyhow, soon enough.

Mmmm i do love tea! I've been drinking lots of blueberry tea lately as it's my current fav.

I'm not sure about the red raspberry leaf either, as i remember drinking tea like that at the end of my pregnancy when i desperately wanted to go into labor (i ended up being induced). But that was waaaaaaaaay back in '06. When a nurse yelled at me when i admitted i had, had one coffee drink in my 9 months of pregnancy. Obviously things change!
