So I begged my NP to order me a beta HCG yesterday since I was having other labs drawn anyway, got the results 7898. I am so stoked!! Around this time during my miscarriage my level was only 1100 so I am taking this as a good sign, I'm also hoping this means that Monday when I go for my ultra sounds we'll have a lot to look at I didn't realize how much stress I had been carrying with me lately but I feel like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders and I can finally enjoy being pregnant. I still have the order to get a second draw tomorrow but I'm not sure if I'm going to. I have read that once hcg is above 6000 doubling time is no longer a good indicator. I'm thinking I'm just going to skip it, what do you ladies think?

If you feel good and it doesn't make a difference then I would maybe skip it. So glad it went well!

Maybe skip it so you don't add stress back in if it doesn't double since your numbers are so high. So happy you had such an amazing number!!

Hmm that's a hard decision. Do what you feel is best. If you don't think it's needed or that it will stress you, don't do it.

I had hcg levels taken, (drs request,) and then a second lot a week later. I never rang up for the results. I just couldn't. With there being a week between the draws there was no way for me to know if they were rising at a normal rate.

If you do decide to go you will be under the 6000 mark. The results should still be accurate and valid. Your first number looks great!

My first draw was over 6000, it was 7898. Unless I'm confused at what the 6000 mark means lol which is very possible I feel quite clueless.

They will still double within a 48-utime frame. But, your first draw is SPOT on for your gestation You could easily walk away from the other test with that number!
