For early gender determination? My friend said her friend is pretty accurate at guessing gender from early u/s. She guessed my friend is having a boy and she is (I know it's 50% chance anyways) and I sent her my u/a today and she said she thinks girl, but that something is cut off and wanted another pic. My other pic isn't any better but I sent it anyways. Anyways, this is based on the Ramzi method which I had never heard of but the one article I did read said it was 97% correct in a 10 year study.

It has to do with where the yolk/placenta is in the sac. Left is girl, right is boy. If your yolk is dead center, hard to tell. It has been half right for my last 3, lol.

The nub theory is more accurate .. you get the photo for it at your NT Scan or whatever scan you have around 12/13w

I am very interested in the Ramzi method, my yolk sack was on the left when I got my u/s the other day. I told hubby this means girl and he refuses to believe it!
Another thing to remember is transvaginal u/s the image you see is what you get, but with abdominal the image is flipped around.

Hmm I have never heard of either of those methods. I think I'm going to try that gender predictor test this time around though. I have never used it before so can't wait to see if it works.

I think the Ramzi Method has to be done before a certain week, 9 or 10, for it to be accurate. After a certain point it no longer counts. My placenta was in the middle for my son so it wouldn't have worked.

Well during today's us I think it says girl? I dunno it was too left of the picture and it was a transvaginal.

Seems a bit odd that the blastocyst would implant on a specific side according to gender. All of my kids placentas have been in the front as my uterus is tilted!

The nub seems more likely, but I've seen where it looked very girl and ended up boy. Its fun to speculate though!

I have no idea about yolk sacs or anything, but I guess this little extra "ball" is the yolk?: http://www.justmommies.com/forums/f1...ltrasound.html

If so, that means girl, according to Ramzi? Yet another "confirmation", lol.

It was correct with my youngest. They also predicted girl with the nub at the peri's office and they were right. My ultrasound from today the baby is hanging out about 10 (on a clock) and it was a trans vag so I think that means boy?

The nub theory was spot on for my last daughter

I am tempted to wade through the huge pile of u/s's & x-rays we have to see if I can find any of the kids early u/s's & see if placenta theory was right for them!
