We went to the mall for a quick peek U/S. My DH didn't make the appt! He was a 1/2 hr late and the dr. doing the u/s wasn't able to wait having to be somewhere else! He was nearly crying he was so upset he missed it! The dr. asked why I was there and I explained that I was concerned that I'm having twins and my OB doesn't see patients until 12 weeks and I wanted to know now. He put the wand on my belly and sure enough, there were two! The dr. seemed in shock! Asking if I used fertility meds or had a family history. Neither which apply! There have never been twins in either of our family for at least 200 yrs! He only measured one hb, but we saw both. It was 130. Both babies measured exactly the same as 1 week behind (all my babies measure small). Its hard to see as its an abdominal U/S and the babies are small, but one was in the middleish of the sack and the other on the far right. Any guesses as to what I'm having?

Whoo hoo! What are you? The 5th twin mommy?

What gave you an idea you are having twins?

I just had a feeling and dreams, plus I kept saying "babies".

When we were 18 and talking about getting married and having a family I told my DH that I wanted a large family. I wanted 6 kids! He said he wanted 5! I jokingly said that if we were meant to have 6 the last pg would be twins! I think this is proof that God has a great sense of humor! After my last baby was born, I kept waking up from "nightmares" that I was having twins. I'd wake up in tears! I kept telling my DH that we were going to have twins and I needed to space out this last pg a bit. I was so overwhelmed with two baby boys and the thought of having twins to add to the mix was terrifying. They are now much easier to manage as my youngest is 2 1/2 now. Then my HcG nearly quadrupled and I was beyond out of my loose jeans by 5 weeks! I was in pretty good physical condition and didn't have a baby belly before. I'm in full maternity clothes! I do always show early, but never like this! Not even with my babies that are the second pg being 16 months apart! I also kept saying "babies" and they/them in reference to when the baby comes. Its all a little surreal!

Two sacks with one baby in each, so ferternal twins! I think its funny that they have a place in the mall as well. It was right next to Motherhood Maternity!

They do those neat 3D U/S and gender identification too!

Wow that's amazing intuition!!! And will forever be a sweet story in the family!!!! Congrats x2!!!!! Hehehe

I always bugged DH since we initially although wanted 4 kids decided on 2 only when we got married... I had a palm reading done when I was 16 and she said I'd have 4 kids! So I bugged him saying we'll have an oopsie and watch it be twins! Hah

Anyways yep this was an oopsie but we also did recently decide on a 3rd. But to TTC in nov-dec.

I don't feel like this would be twins and I would probably totally panick if it was! Lol
What's funny though is my reading from lady V said Girl but that I was not done that a little brother would come next.. Lol

3 is pushing it since initially we said 2. Also so far I feel more like this is another little boy. We shall see if the "cards" are right!

Can't wait to hear more updates!!!

How exciting! Are you going to call your doctor and see of you can get in sooner? I'm glad I didn't drink the twin water in the DDC!

I'll call tomorrow and see if it will change my care this early in the game. So many people don't know they are having twins until further along, so I don't know if it will change anything this early. They are naturally occurring without the aid of a fertility dr. that would typically monitor things. I told the nurse at my intake appt that I suspected twins and she didn't seem concerned at all that I could be right. Well she did say I could get an appt a week early, but that was because of my ovulation date vs. lmp.

Still so weird that I ovulated on day 6 of my cycle and did it twice! The whole situation is nearly fantastical!
