I went in for a n U/S to check on the SCH. As long as she was looking she took all sorts of measurements on the babies. They are both catching up with my due date. Just a few days behind each! HB were 160 & 170. I got pics this time! I need to scan them in, but they are so cute! They were waving their arms and legs around and looking very human! They were laying with their heads close together and their feet pointing out.

The SCH had changed shape, but she pulled out a calculator and it was 50% smaller than 2 weeks ago! I go back in 2 weeks to check on it. I'm still on restrictions, but I'm happy that it seems to be absorbing and healing. I still haven't had any bleeding. The bleed is in front and on top of the babies. I have my first OB visit next week!

On the way home a car accident happened literally right next to me in oncoming traffic. Luckily they were going slow and no one was hurt. The driver of a commercial van tried to turn into oncoming traffic (me!) To avoid hitting a semi turning into a business. I swerved to the side and my van was hit with pieces of broken hood as it crashed at an angle. The kids could hear the crash and me pull over and thought our tire blew. It was scary and I was shaking. I pulled into a parking lot to calm down. We were all safe and our car wasn't damaged. It was very scary to witness so close! I'm sure my babies were jumping from the adrenaline spike!

So happy to hear the SCH is getting smaller!!! Congrats on a wonderful u/s of the twins too! I was in a similar accident like you described. When the flying cab of pick up truck came crashing at m y windshield, I ducked out of sheer instinct and gave myself horrible whiplash. Look out later for that horrible pain, if you ducked as well. I was at a light and the first car, so I had no where to go.......the accident was right in the middle of an intersection, so I was the one who got the brunt of the accident debree. My 3yr old was in the back seat at the time and was scared to death!

I don't think I ducked. I was too busy swerving over and keeping control of my van so we didn't go off the side. I didn't have time to hit the breaks. Not that it would have done any good. Odd thing was not 15 min before as we were going through a school crossing area I was remembering a horrible accident I saw as a child where a classmate was hit by a car right in front of the crossing guard. I had just finished a discussion with my kids about texting while driving as well. I'm not sure the cause of the crash today, but it brought home paying close attention to my girls!

How terrifying! Glad none of you were hurt! As scary as it was, I bet it was a good example for your girls!

Glad things are going better with the SCH!

I've been super nauseated tonight and have a terrible headache. I took a long bath and my DH tried rubbing my shoulders. I hope that I feel better tomorrow and its just the stress of the day catching up with me. If I feel awful in the morning I'm calling my OB and heading into my chiropractor! I just don't feel right. No bleeding, but I have been cramping. I've been drinking and resting and that helped the cramping. Always something new to worry about! My DH has been babying me and trying to take care of me. Nearly being in an accident with the kids has him worried about us.
