DH and I are set on a boy's name: Jack Thomas. I had a hunch to look up the name Jack and find out what it meant, and it was very fitting for us: "God is gracious."
for a girl, we are pretty set on River Song. We're Whovians and we love the name. We are also Firefly/Serenity fans, so River doubles for both of our fandoms... and we can tell our little girl that she's named after two women that were abducted by the government and trained to become assassins. Pretty rad, eh? well, at least we think so.
For us, the boy name is set: Henry Theodore. The girl name we were set on but I am kind of wavering a bit. I keep going back and forth on what I like. I like it but...I don't know...Im not 100% feeling it. I wish I wasn't so weird. LOL.
We were set for a boy name! Everyone LOVED it! Everyone being DH, Anna, Dominic, and me! lol We called the baby that all week before finding out HE is actually a SHE!!! lol Now we are back at square one! We have a few names we like but none that we LOVE for a girl. Out last name makes it hard....a lot of girl names end up rhyming in some way with it.
I had a girls name my whole life..... And DFs cousin just had a baby and named her my chosen name so now I am going over other names. But it sucks because my whole life I wanted to name my daughter if I had one that name.... As for boys names we are very limited. DF is pretty set on his wants and we do NOT agree at all. We tend to agree more on the girl names
I think you should name your baby whatever you want, regardless of what your DF's cousin named hers. I have 2 cousins that both had baby girls around the same time and both named them Macy. It's your daughter's name and you'll call her it your entire life. She may not even see your DF's cousin that much if at all so it really won't matter. Anyway, just my 2 cents on that.
