Everything checked out ok at the hospital. By the time they got an IV in me and took blood, all my numbers looked good. When I left, they said my blood sugar was down to 90. So I started wondering if maybe something is wrong with my monitor or test strips at home. They've been sitting in a drawer for 2 1/2 years after all. I tested again when I got home and it said my blood sugar was 195. Clearly the thing is wrong. BUT I did experience all these symptoms and very suddenly. Now I am wondering if, since everything looked good at the ER, did I possibly have a panic attack?? (I've never had one before.) I don't know. I'm going to call my doc tomorrow and see what she wants to do.

On the plus side, got to see bean on u/s (160 bpm heartbeat).

You need new test strips! You may also need a new monitor. I remember when I accidental tried to use an expired strip with my last pregnancy my monitor refuse to run the test.

Wow that is scary. I say new strips and recalibrate your machine. I hope everything stays on the up and up though.

Don't feel bad about going to the doc, even if it seemed like your blood sugar wasn't the issue! YOU know when something is wrong, and you did a good job following your instinct! I don't know about the test strips, but I have had a couple of panic attacks before and I honestly felt like I was going to die, especially the first time I had one. The first one came out of nowhere, too- no trigger or anything. I hope it doesn't happen again, in any case.

Thank you so much for the support. I do feel a little silly going in and having everything be normal, but I really did not feel right. I guess peace of mind is a good enough reason. Anyway, I feel good today, other than being tired and moody. Thanks, again. You all are awesome.
