Do they sound weird together? Too rhymey?

My daughter's name is Josephine Lee

New baby would be Evangeline Lee.

Too matchy?

Our family uses Lee for all girl middle names, so that is non-negotiable.

Its the double "ine" thats throwing me off

who cares if it's "matchy" as long as you love the name then love it....they both can shorten to nicknames so those wont be "matchy"

I think it's beautiful. I agree- I wouldn't worry about it being matchy. They will each have their own nick names, and as they get older they won't seem so "matchy" if that's what you are worried about

My first thought is do you plan to have more kids? If you did, would you be able to continue the trend. Not that you *have* to, but maybe a kid would wonder why 2 are similar and theirs isn't?

Do you call your daughter by her full name or a nickname?

I really love Evangeline and I think the two names go together since they are a little traditional and longer.

Josephine goes by Jo, and Evangeline would be Eva or Evie.

We only plan on two, if we did a third, we wouldnt necessarily follow the ine trend but we would follow the very classy, sophisticated, oldtimey trend.

Since they have nicknames, then I don't think it matters too much that they are similar

I dont think it matters I like the name. And I don't think you would have to follow the ine trend either, all my kids have "in" (on) except Parker and I didn't do it on purpose they were all just names I liked and he never says anything about it at all. It doesn't even cross his mind

I was going to suggest a different middle name, but if that is not-negotiable, & you are likely to call them by their nicknames, then it shouldn't be too confusing.

I am Lisa & my second eldest is Leah (hubby's choice.) Although they are a close, no-one seems to have trouble with it.

We MIGHT consider a different middle name just cause Evangeline Lee doesnt flow as well as Id like. (The line lee is bothering me) but this is a 4th generation tradition so it would make me really sad to not continue.

I really like it though. I think we might have found our name

I really like it and don't think they are too similar that its sounds "matchy" or intentional. both are beautiful names!
