Pregnancy got me. Gingivitis and cavities. Two things I didn't have a little over six months ago.

Plus I need to extract my two wisdoms but I refuse to do that until I can take pain meds.

Oh no! It's tough to keep up with dental hygiene when there's just so much else going on in your life. (Who wants to take the time to floss when you just want to crawl into bed at night?!) Do you use any special toothpastes or mouthwashes? I really like using the Tom's brand and I know they offer a few selections based on what you want (cavity protection, whitening, etc.).

I do not blame you for wanting to hold off on those wisdom teeth!

UGH. I'm putting off going to the dentist for this reason. I HATE getting cavities filled. I have two which I hate in the first place. Last time I got one filled, it was sensitive for a good 6-9 months. I'm talking crazy sensitive. BOO.

I went to the dentist yesterday, but got a different report. No cavities, gums look good and my "teeth look beautiful." My previous pregnancies weren't as forgiving, though--I got a cavity after the birth of each baby! I would wait on the wisdom teeth, too!!!! That would be no fun.

I'm sorry! I didn't have teeth issues until my fourth baby. For gums I use Dr Christopher's Tooth and Gum powder. It will heal them up immediately! If my gums start to puff or bleed I use it once and its gone by morning. I had a terrible time during pg until I discovered this powder.

I'm kinda a freak-- I LOVE the dentist and I usually have no complaints about my teeth, usually get compliments.

But I've had two wisdoms pulled before in 2005 and was supposed to return to get the others done. What year is it? That pain was UNBEARABLE so I will definitely wait until I have these babies so Advil and I can be the best of friends.

Ugh sorry to hear that! I'm avoiding the dentist unless my mouth starts hurting until after I'm done being pregnant. >_>

I've never had any cavities or gum bleeding etc but I'm scared of them finding something and not being able to out me under or give me strong enough meds bc I am a wimp.

My tooth started hurting this week, felt like it was loose. She told me that two teeth were looser in the gums. Pregnancy, boy I tell ya; it has not been kind to me.

Oh, I am so sorry! That stinks! I would be with you on the wisdom teeth. If you can bear it, wait until after the babies are born so you can take meds.

Nicole, I am with you! I am avoiding the dentist to. I am a freakishly scared 34 year old scaredy cat when it comes to the dentist. I can't handle the stress. My hope is, once I go through child birth, the pain from the dentist will mean nothing.
