So I realize this is completely ridiculous to be stressing about this, BUT, I wanted to get yall's opinions! So we have a tradition of getting matching family Christmas pajamas and opening them on Christmas Eve to wear to bed and on Christmas morning. One of my favorite websites has a preorder sale going on right now, which is the only reason I'm thinking about Christmas in June! The smallest size they offer is 6 month, and those will swallow baby alive considering baby girl will be roughly 7 weeks old come Christmas. They also offer a set for American Girl dolls-and they are 18 inches long. I feel sure Ramsey will be a couple inches longer than that, but they are 2 piece jammies, and she could wear a onesie underneath if there is a gap showing some belly! Do you think a 7 week old could fit in America Girl clothes?? I could always get the 6 month and then try to alter them....but I still think they won't fit snugly enough. I want her to match us too!! LOL!

I'd get the six month size and alter them. With two piece I'd just cuff them everywhere.

We have the same tradition, but I make them. I need to do that soon or buy them. Can you link to the site? Buying might be a better option this yr.

Blanks Boutique - High Quality Blanks For Embroidery and Applique - Buy from Blanks Boutique

It's a site specifically for embroidery. Everything is blank and kinda plain so you can add embroidery and appliqués. I love it since that's how I make my extra income!

I would buy 6 month and alter. I'd be afraid that the doll clothes would be uncomfortable with seems, elastic or other things that might rub a newborn wrong that wouldn't bother a doll. However, with that said I know a lady who had a very small preemie and dressed him in cabbage patch clothes for his first few weeks! lol (this was 30 years ago! :giggle)

At 7wks all of my girls were over 12lbs. This was being born at the average weight of 7lbs. Don't think the doll clothes will fit, lol. I'd go with the 6mo outfit, as she will only be in it in the evening and morning.....probably less than 12hr!

Super cute! I have an embroidery machine too and do a lot of embroidery on my kids clothes. Monogrammed tops would be really cute.

I agree that the doll pjs would be too small. Can you maybe look at different places that would offer a 3 month size?

Alternatively, you could order a child's size PJ shirt and cut out a sleeper gown from the fabric instead of dealing with all the tiny seems of a 6 month PJ. Then you could fold over the bottom and close it up with a drawstring ribbon or cord.

I would say 6mo too, since 6 mo usually means 3-6months I think they can be altered a little and be fine, I dont think the doll clothes would fit.

I agree with everyone else. I would do the 6 month set. But I also want to say what a cute idea. I can't wait to see pics.

I would buy big & then roll them up/down, or alter
