Anyone having heartburn? Seems like it's been bad the last week... today it is AWFUL! It's like, um I had shredded wheat for breakfast and peanut butter toast for a snack and already had heartburn bad by that point... how is that even possible? This is not fun!

I've been on Zantac for nearly a month now. I got a prescription from my OB. It was only $4 for 60 pills and I haven't had any reflux or hb to deal with. Its been really nice! I just suffered through previous pg, but it was so much worse this time.

I got the smooth tums and they really help. Not sure why but they work much quicker...maybe because they are the smooth kind?

I broke down and took a max strength zantac... I couldnt' stand it. I thought I was going to throw up! I hate taking anything if I don't have to, but this is ridiculous.

I got heartburn with my two previous pregnancies by just drinking water, so I was miserable throughout both. Haven't had it bad this time around--thank you God!

If you want to go natural, my doula recommended papaya enzymes. You can get it at a nutritional or health food store.

I was throwing up randomly throughout the day from it. I need all the food I can make myself eat. With previous pg Tums worked for the most part.

PB is a trigger for me, as is spaghetti sauce and chocolate. I usually try to avoid it, but sometimes I give in and have them!

I get it bad at night...and about half the time have to take a couple tums before going to bed.

Melaleuca has a really good acid reducer that worked great for me with DS

I'm in heartburn land too. I take 8-10 Tums a day. I figure I'll be moving to Zantac soon. Bread is one of my worst triggers. If I have buttered toast or a bagel, I have terrible heartburn after.

I have reflux pre-pregnancy, gets worse during.

Last night I hit the point where I had to sleep sitting up for a couple hours, as I was choking on my stomach acid.

Already taking Zantac 150 twice a day, as well as Tums here and there.

Last pregnancy, I started throwing up blood at 18 weeks from heartburn erosion O_O

And that was on medication (prilosec at that time) and only eating "safe" foods. So it's possible for it to just suck not matter how appropriately you eat!

I am on Nexium and Zantac now. No blood throw up, thank goodness!

I also had the puking blood the last go round-- This time I am on prilosec full time, no trigger foods. And then if it gets really bad I also take maalox and zantac... and always probiotics. Sorry you have it.... what a misery.
