You ever watch that show on TCL? How would you handle being in that situation?

I have been watching it, it's pretty interesting. One mom was 26 when she had her first daughter, who is now pregnant, so it is interesting to note that it doesn't just happen to former young moms. I have all boys, and if they ever get a girl pregnant as a teenager, I don't think I would handle it well.

I'd just deal with it. Hopefully I educate my daughter enough about safe sex and boys aren't the only one responsible for protection but in the end she mAkes the decisions about her body. I pray she isn't far enough from me to sneak off and get some action but I can't keep her on a leash forever.

Scarily, this could be me! My daughter is two years younger now than I was when I got knocked up with her. Yikes! I'm not sure how I would handle that. I know I would be so upset, just because I know how much harder my life was, and I obviously don't want that for her. BUT I'd just have to suck it up and be supportive in any way I could.

I would flip out, but since my daughter is 10, hasnt started her period and is extremely shy and this is my last baby, it isnt happening. If she gets pregnant as a teenager I would flip out and my DH would kill someone lol

Yeah I wouldn't handle my teen being prego well at all. I would learn to deal with it but would feel like a failure for not educating my kids better.

That would be rough! My cousin and aunt were pg at the same time. My cousin was married in college though, so that makes a big difference. It happens all the time with big families.

I don't have any interest in a show about teen pregnancy. Even if they show some hard moments, I feel that having a teen on tv because of it somehow glorifies it. I don't want teens thinking that should be the norm!

I know I would be very upset if my teen got pregnant/got a girl pregnant. I would support them emotionally though, because I don't believe in abortion. But if it were my boys, I would hope they would stay involved! We would try to help out, so they could finish school, go to work, etc but I would not be watching the kid a ton just so they can go out and have fun.

Oh Gosh....I would be so sad and disappointed. I hope I have taught her to respect her body better that. I hope I have taught my son too. With that said....teens are teens and I (being a teen mom myself) wouldn't have ever made it as a successful person today if it weren't for the support of my parents. They never made me feel guilty or bad. They maintain that all babies are blessings. I can't say that they were huge financial supports, but emotional and loving supporters for sure. I would hope I could get over my disappointment and be the same way. And I hope even more that I never have to! lol

I just want to clarify.i was 18! So in Alberta standards technically an adult . But I do agree glorifying it is not ok! I will never watch teen mom or other shows that show them just to get on tv you have to be a teen mom! It's not easy!
