You know, it's funny. I read that November births meant you live the longest. This one says October.

And is dead wrong for me. It says I'm more optimistic when I'm the most pesimistic and down to earth person you could meet

DH's birthday is November 22nd and for him, it was totally wrong. He's the happiest, upbeat person I have ever met. The world could be ending and he'd point out the positive. Me? Not so much. I'm the pessimist. My brother has a Nov. birthday and I wouldn't say he's a pessimist, he's very serious though.

Ah! DH was born in November, but I can agree he is pretty pessimistic.

I was born in July and I think I'm very optimistic and I also have terrible eye sight so that was spot on

September babies are the oldest in their class?? That is not true. I was born Sept. 21 and I was always one of the youngest. I was only 17 when I started college and most of my friends had turned 18 the previous Spring or Summer.

DH was born in June and he has excellent vision, like 20/20, whereas I am blind as a bat

yeah, that's what i thought when i read it- i was the youngest in my class because i started preschool at three. i taught myself to read and then graduated early, so i still thought the whole academic-performance bit was true for me.

Hmm, so basically from that article I got that we need to all spend more time in the sun?

I'm not buying into any of it! :-)

August for me - wrong, wrong, wrong! Loved school (well, the academic aspect of it, not the social) as long as I can remember.

As far as the September thing goes, it really depends on the school district. My guess some school districts say you have to be 5 by August 31 of that year to start Kindergarten. For our school district it's September 30 (little bub being born in October or beginning of November will definitely be one of the oldest in her class!).

As for November, my dad IS pretty pessimistic. My MIL, I wouldn't call her overly pessimistic.

Our schools goes by year so next year 2010 kids start kindergarten - that would make Dec the youngest and Jan oldest

Our district has the Aug 31st cut off too so my September Virgo is one of the oldest in his class.

And woo hoo June! Yes! And I do have to wear glasses.

My August Virgo is just an average student. School's not natural for him but he gets by. I don't see him in a traditional job of sorts either. Here's to hoping that football thing works out for him.

My September Virgo STRUGGLES with school but there are a lot of emotional and learning issues there. Plus he's usually the oldest and least mature. But he wants to be a roller coaster engineer or a vet.

As for these November babies, I guess, they would be fortunate I live in Miami where the sun is abundant. LOL!

I don't knock this totally because the sun does have a large affect on our psychology and that is proven. Why do you think depressed people seek the dark? The sun serves as a natural anti-depressant.

That was a waste of time to read! My brother is a November baby and the most positive, happy person I know! I'm April which makes me an alcoholic. I do actually carry the genetic to be one. I've never tasted alcohol! That isn't something to mess around with. My dd is May and is supposed to have a low IQ! This from the child that taught herself to read right after her 4th birthday? If I had pushed it she could have read earlier. Everything comes easy for her and she's beyond her peers in most areas. She lacks in sports.

I'd like to know what geographical pool the researchers are drawing from in coming up with these statistics. My oldest son and I were both born in January, but I was born in California, and he was born in Kuwait, and in both of those areas it is sunny all the time. So I don't think that the time of the year would have really had that much effect on Vitamin D exposure.

I'd also be curious to know whether or not any of these relationships were actually statistically significant. Somehow I doubt it.
